Be dynamic
Food can create amazing textures and shades. When the elements of a recipe start to mix, the fun part begins. A spoon of icing sugar falling on a warm pancake, some milk blending into a of dark coffee; these are things that can animate a picture and give a human touch to a plate, avoiding shooting a static, flat picture.
Take care of details
Eating the same dish in two different situations means enjoying two different dishes, and not the same one. Context, cloth, details, colours; these are the elements able to create a story. Simple props, light and neutral colour, natural and raw materials are always a great choice.
Shadows
We are always searching for the perfect light, but shadows are important too. They create volume and give a touch of reality. They also help to describe our days: the moments of happiness, the lazy afternoons, the foggy mornings. If you want to obtain strong shadows without losing their smoothness, it's better to shoot near windows.
Stimulate senses
