Lavinia Cernau captures fleeting moments and the earthy colours of Romania in the historic region of Transylvania.
For me, photography has rather a personal touch as it has become a way of expressing the mood I'm in, and this I realized just recently after various people have told me the same. Whether I'm out in nature or within the urban perimeter, what I choose to shoot will always reflect my state of spirit. I'm lucky to live in the region of Transylvania, a beautiful part of Romania, rich in traditions and history that I have yet to fully discover and relish in.
This will sound a bit cliche, I realize that, but since Instagram, I've become much more aware of the little details around me. Life has taken me on rather rugged roads lately and it has taught me to appreciate the value of every day moments and people, leading me to believe that travel is a sure and fantastic way to live lif to the full. That’s how travelling and adventuring have quickly become my passions.
I don’t see myself qualified to be called a photographer, however my aim is to reflect the beauty along with the feelings that surround me and if what I accomplish is positively received, then I'm beyond happy.
I love to capture moods - whether it's a landscape or a city scene, I look for the textures, the feeling or that unique something that gives my capture singularity.
